Altar Society's mission is to provide the women of St. Rose with a variety of social and service opportunities and spiritual growth through the life of the parish circles, and to keep the worship space of St. Rose in good order.

 

Altar Society, supported by our five circles, funds church cleaning, pays for hosts, candles, palms and ashes. Other purchases and expenses over the past few years have included sacred vessels, vestments, altar cloths and linens, small tables used in liturgies, new granite tops for the side altars, and refinishing our parish’s historic brass candlesticks and monstrance.

 

Circles contribute to Altar Society from their fundraisers (Growlers & Grapes, selling nuts,
bake sales, etc.). Service projects undertaken by the circles include the Caring & Sharing Trees, altar flowers and seasonal decorations, confirmation reception, senior luncheons, funeral luncheons, and each year needed but unbudgeted items selected by the pastor.
