BECOMING CATHOLIC

If you are interested in being baptized as Catholic and are an adult or have at least attained the age of reason (normally age 7), you will be prepared for baptism through the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA).

If you have been baptized in another Christian religion and are interested in becoming confirmed as a Catholic, you will make a profession of faith and receive the sacrament of Confirmation through RCIA.

RCIA is a communal process for formal initiation of new members into the Catholic Church. It is a process of study, exploration, faith-sharing, and faith formation.

The process of RCIA typically begins in the fall each year and ends with receiving the sacraments of First Communion, Confirmation, and Baptism at Easter Vigil.
