New Job at St. Rose: Manager of Facilities

Updated: Mar 5, 2021

This is Lake Sacajawea and it is literally across the street from the parish and you should definitely want to work here.

For the last several years, we have been blessed to have "Vinny" on our parish staff serving as our manager of facilities and maintenance. Vinny has done a wonderful job and has overseen countless projects at our parish and school. Sadly, at least for us, Vinny has decided to retire and will be leaving our staff soon.

But this means we get to hire somebody new to join our staff, and that is always exciting. The job will be a little different than Vinny's job though, because this person will now also oversee the facilities in two other parishes, including St. Mary's in Castle Rock and Immaculate Heart of Mary in Kelso.

As always, please pray for this position to be filled and if you know anyone you think would be good, please pass this along to them! The official ad is below:

Cowlitz County is a peaceful county in Southwest Washington State. Several local Catholic Churches, including St. Rose in Longview, Washington, is seeking a full-time Facility Manager. This position will oversee the long-term maintenance, safety, and construction/renovation programs for three of our campuses in Cowlitz County. The position also administers daily operations including grounds, maintenance, janitorial, safety, security, and energy management systems for St. Rose Church and School. The individual will be responsible for providing maintenance services for parish and school buildings and grounds, so basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other routine building systems is required. This person will be required to conduct preventive maintenance as well as safety and energy conservation audits and recruit and train volunteers to assist. Salary is dependent on experience and benefits are included. For a full job description and application, please email hr@strose-longview.org or call the parish office at 360-425-4660. Position open until filled.
